Timmins city council has approved a $4.1 million expense to fix the Kraft Creek Bridge. Project Manager Laura Donaldson was pushing for the accelerated construction option, which is the one council went with. She says although it is more expensive, it will last longer, and take less construction time.
The construction utilizes pre-cast components to put the bridge together in an eight-week timeline. The design phase is underway, and construction is set to begin next June.
