Asphalt paving on a number of Timmins streets is on hold. Crews from the Miller Pavings Plant were to start laying down asphalt on Wednesday, however a mechanical issue has forced a plant closure. Public Works says the streets scheduled for paving will be left open until Miller can again start producing asphalt. Miller is the only plant in the Timmins area that make asphalt so Public Works has to wait until the plant re-opens to resume the paving schedule.
