Taking a breath of fresh air has put Timmins on the map.
The city is being recognized for its air in this months latest article on Expedia.ca. The website’s travel sensation series asked about 11,200Canadians what their favourite summer smells were and where to find them. Timmins ranked on top with the smell of fresh air. Tourism Manager Guy Lamarche says this is great feedback for the city.
Lamarche says the fresh air in Timmins is truly a reason why people come here. He says it’s a great escape for some.
The city says it is honored to be recognized on this list.
