You won’t be able to end your summer with a few more dips in the pool.
The City of Timmins says the Archie Dillon Sportsplex pool is closed for annual maintenance and repairs. Manager of Parks, Recreation and Building Maintenance Glenn Thurston says we normally close the pool at this time to get things ready for the new year. Thurston says the staff is doing some extra cleaning, painting and power washing the deck. He says crews are also working on the pool heater to make sure the pool water stays warm.
The city says the pool should reopen on September 8th.
