Even though we have just started pumpkin season, the Downtown BIA is already planning Christmas.
The BIA says this year’s Santa Claus Parade is going to be themed “Toyland”. Executive Director Noella Rinaldo says this is going to be a fun theme to work with. “It’s an easy theme and a wonderful theme and the kids are gonna love it.” She says “we are going to get so many kids coming out for that.”
Rinaldo says registration for floats is already open. “Registration happens with our partner the chamber of commerce and then everything after that comes to the Downtown BIA.” She adds that “you register with the chamber of commerce on its website then the BIA will be giving you a call.”
She says all the floats that register will be up for awards, so really pull out all the stops. She says like always there will be a panel of judges looking for floats that stand out and really fit the theme.
This year’s parade will take place on November 17th.
