Traffic Patterns Changed for Highway Reconstruction Project

Work on the Highway 101 reconstruction project could affect traffic moving forward.

The City of Timmins says the project includes new asphalt, street lighting and box culvert replacements between Bruce Avenue and Legion Drive. This portion of the highway reconstruction project started in June.

The city says crews are now closing the Bruce Y to finishing paving the highway. The eastbound off-ramp at Bruce Avenue will remain open and traffic will be detoured to Main Street in South Porcupine. Crews are also reminding you that the area is a construction zone, and to slow down in order to keep everyone safe.

The city says the work is expected to continue until the end of October 18th.
