The Government of Canada has issued the following special weather statement:
“Significant snowfall expected early Thursday morning through Friday. A total of 15 to 25 cm of snow is possible by Friday evening. The snow will begin early Thursday morning and could last into Friday evening. The heaviest snow is expected Thursday afternoon and evening. Northerly winds may also combine with the snow to create blowing and drifting snow in exposed areas. A Snowfall Warning may be required. Motorists should be prepared for poor winter driving conditions.”

- Timmins South: Birch (Second to Sixth), Maple (Second to Sixth), Elm (Second to Sixth)
The City of Timmins Winter Parking By-Law is now in effect. From November 1st, 2019 to April 30th, 2020, vehicles may not park on the streets overnight, from 11:30pm to 7:30am. Cars can park overnight in areas with signage that reads “Parking Permitted Unless Otherwise Posted”. Towing will occur anytime an illegally parked vehicle interferes with winter operations, like snow plowing. More details about the Winter Parking By-Law can be found here.
