Things you expect and things you don’t at the Home, Cottage and Lifestyle Show

The McIntyre Arena is the location this weekend for the Timmins Construction Association Home, Cottage and Lifestyle Show.

It features all kinds of products and several contractors offering their services.

Construction Association president Jamie Clarke says you can confidently sign up a contractor, right at the show.

“Anybody that belongs to our group has to have insurance,” he points out. “If you go online before hiring a contractor, anybody that we have is going to be fully licenced.”

There are things you expect to see at the show, and things you don’t.

“Incinerating toilets, for example,” says Clarke. “A lot of people aren’t used to that. Incinerating toilets are something that you put at the cottage or in your back yard, if you can’t get plumbing out to it, water lines and drains.”

Clarke’s hoping for and expecting at least 5,000 people to go through the show, tonight from 5:00pm to 9:00pm; tomorrow, 10:00am to 5:00pm; and Sunday, 10:00am to 3:00pm.
