Three new wildland fire were confirmed in the Northeast region yesterday evening and that includes one west of Shaw Creek Road in Timmins.
According to the province, Timmins 9 is 1.5 hectares and is currently being held.
A 3 hectare fire is also burning in the Hearst area, near Big Rice Lake.
The MNR’s fire hazard map shows it’s mostly high for most of the Northeast Region, with a few pockets of extreme.
