April 22nd is Earth Day every year – that’s next Tuesday this year – and the city of Timmins is marking it by offering free bus rides on Timmins Transit.
Earth Day focusses on ways we can all contribute to improving the environment. City Hall says riding the bus instead of driving a car reduces emissions of greenhouse gases per passenger.
It also lowers overall energy consumption and saves fuel, reducing the demand for fossil fuels.
