Mayor Tom Laughren’s plans for the fall have been revealed. The Timmins Mayor announced earlier this summer he will not be running for re-election, and it is now known that he will be taking on a position at Lake Shore Gold. The mining company will have Laughren on as the Director of Corporate Responsibility, where he will oversee multiple mines L-S-G has in Timmins. The new job fits in to his background of teaching industrial safety, and 20 years of politics.
