You can now buy a smile cookie to support a local organization.
Tim Hortons is selling smile cookies for $1 with the money going towards the local D.A.R.E. program for grade six and eight students.
D.A.R.E. is a decision and drug prevention program. Instructor Rick Lemieux says the money will go towards running and adding special aspects to the program. Lemieux says last year the campaign raised about $37,000, but he is hoping to see that number increase even more this year.
The smile cookie campaign will run for the rest of the week at all the Tim Hortons locations in town.
