Ontario is modernizing the way you can get fishing and hunting licenses.
The province says it is adding an online system in November to make getting outdoors easier for hunters and anglers. Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry Jeff Yurek says the service will be easy to use and feature things like a mobile license summery.
The province says as the new system is being implemented, there will be some interruptions in normal services:
- hunting and fishing licenses will not be for sale from November 19th to 25th
- licenses requiring a game seal will not be available from November 19th to December 31st
It says all 2018 licences requiring a game seal need t be purchased before November 19th. The province adds that by January, all the licenses will be available during their regular timeframes.
