Car becomes airborne, driver charged

The driver of a car that became airborne and landed on the roof of one parked in a driveway is up on five charges laid by Timmins Police. No one was hurt.

An officer was dispatched to Suzanne St. shortly before 11:00am Tuesday. A drug recognition expert formed an opinion that the driver was  impaired by drugs.

The car was impounded for seven days and the driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.

The charges:

  • Operation While Impaired – Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Drug Concentration
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence
  • Fail to Have Insurance Card
