The Toimmins Museum; Celebrating Artistic Growth

The Timmins Museum: NEC is pleased to present “Celebrating Artistic Growth”, an exhibition created by the Timmins High Art Club, in the Grey Gallery of the museum, 325 Second Avenue, Timmins, from May 5th to 25th, 2023. 
Under the guidance of art teacher Kaitlin Rothel, students met with museum staff during the school year to learn about the organization and presentation of an exhibition. Students learned how to use the print press as well as how to record their work, mat and frame it. They assisted with the installation of the exhibit, as well as the planning for the opening. Students from the culinary course showed off their creations for the opening.
 
To support for these young artists, you can visit the museum anytime from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm; Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 4pm. Admission is always free.
